About the Digital Herbarium

The Digital Herbarium is a project of the Institute of Ecology and Biodiversity, financed by the ANID fund FB210006. It aims to improve access and operability of vascular plant collections through their digitization and virtualization.

This is a modular platform open to the incorporation of new collections of vascular plants and, eventually, other taxonomic groups. The data that comprise it operate associated with the catalog of Vascular Plants of Chile, that is, they are subject to a dynamic and expert process of taxonomic standardization.
